Stone driveway clean and seal in downtown West Palm Beach
We cleaned and sealed this stone driveway in downtown West Palm Beach, and pressure washed the sidewalk out front too (second photo), so the whole entrance looks its best.
Services
Deep clean, re-sand and seal. Restores colour and protects against sun and stains.
Florida's climate is hard on brick and concrete pavers. UV light, rain, dirt, algae, weeds and car traffic leave them faded and worn.
Before sealing, we clean the surface thoroughly to remove dirt, algae, mildew and stains. Good preparation is what makes the finish clean and long-lasting.
We use a quality two-part sealer and the same system on every job.
We seal driveways, patios, pool decks and walkways.
Most paver sealing jobs start at around $1,000. The price depends on the size and on whether the pavers need old sealer stripped, new sand or a colour tint.
Local tip. Plan to keep cars off the driveway for 48 hours after sealing. Walk the pavers after the next rain: if the water beads up, the sealer is working.
How we do it
The same 6 steps on every job.
Before we start, we look over the pavers and decide what they need, such as stripping, sand or tint.
We treat the pavers first, so the mold and algae are dead before we wash.
Dirt, algae, mildew and stains are washed off. Good preparation is what makes the seal last.
New sand goes into the joints between the pavers, which keeps them tight and stable.
Two coats of a quality two-part sealer bring the colour back and protect against sun and stains.
We walk the finished job with you before we leave.

How to tell the sealer works
Look at your pavers after rain or the sprinklers. On sealed pavers, water beads up and sits on top instead of soaking in. That means the protective coat is working.
The same coat repels dirt, oil and other stains. They stay on the surface instead of soaking into the stone, so they rinse off much more easily and the pavers stay clean for longer.
If water soaks straight in and the pavers turn dark, the sealer is worn off and it is time to reseal.

FAQ
48 hours after sealing.
That is hard to tell from photos. It needs an expert assessment on site, so we check it when we inspect the pavers before the job.
A lot fewer weeds will grow between your pavers, but sanding and sealing will not stop them completely.
Normally between 12 and 24 months. It depends on the pavers, how much you drive on them and the weather.
